What We Do

Marine City Started as Newport in the 1830s as Newport, and became Marine City in 1865. We have a rich history in the ship building industry.

Volunteer at the museum
The Marine City Museum is always looking for volunteers to docent, work on projects and work with our collection.
Annex Addition
The annex was added to the building in 1991 in memory of Carroll B Brown to house eight new exhibit rooms
Exhibits
This diorama of Marine City in 1885 is the largest in the museum and runs along one whole wall

We have an archive of family and business files of Marine City History. This includes photos, documents and handwritten letters
